As I was getting out of my warm and cozy car into the pouring rain, I heard disturbing police sirens in the distance. They always make me wonder what happened. I often worry that someone might be hurt or in a life threatening situation. However, I was going to church. As I opened the front door, I felt a little nervous. Although I go there a few times a week, I always feel those tiny butterflies in my stomach; after all, it is a precious, and a holy place. There were already a few people sitting in the front rows deep in their thoughts. Some guys were setting up microphones while the pianist was practicing the songs she had to play. The guys that were preaching that day were reading their Bibles and mentally were going over what they were going to say. The pastor and a few leaders were in the prayer room praying for that day’s service. As more people came in, they quietly took their seats. This didn’t happen very often. Usually, while everyone was coming in, you heard a lot of happy and sad voices. Many were laughing. Today was a special day. Everyone felt the peacefulness, and the presence of the Lord. No one wanted to break the silence as if the presence would go away. Every person in the church knew that it would be one of the best ceremonies we had in a long time.

I appreciate your description of the Peaceful Pressence of the Lord. Because of your specific and accurate description, I can be sure that when I say "I know what you're talking about. I've experienced that same thing", it's true.
